UVI was founded 20 years ago and UVI Engine, which powers UVI Falcon, has been in development for 15 years. The UVI Falcon was released prior to June 2016, as it was reviewed by Sound On Sound in that month. UVI recently released Falcon 3 in October 2023, which is a significant update to the flagship hybrid instrument. 

While UVI, the company behind Falcon, is 20 years old, the software instrument UVI Falcon has been around for less than 9 years, as the original release was sometime before June 2016. I discovered UVI Falcon back in early 2017. It has become my favorite platform for sound design. It's a hugely powerful instrument. It's been called a hybrid synth, a semi modular,  a synth-sampler system. Falcon 3 is the center of our sound design environment. Starting in 2026, we will be offering our favorite sound banks, developed for international artists, film sound and environmental audio projects. To the folks at UVI, job well done!
